A Rather Blustery Golden Day

Come away with me, my beautiful one!

Song of Songs 2:10

Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken, Mark Baldwin

I heard the wind whistle an invitation, so I packed today’s lunch, wrapped this year’s magic cape around my neck and pedaled to my favorite apple orchard along with the great little pumpkin for an overdue but perfectly timed autumnal spin. You remember, made up of the stuff of magic brews.

I tell you, those woods are enchanted. I think I may have spotted the same gentleman who froze in amusement last year, or maybe not, but others there today smiled back as they heard my laughter. I couldn’t contain it, and who’d want to.

The light, oh that light, it’s completely unedited, and depending on where I stood or what was in the picture, its emphasis altered. Oh so otherworldly October.

My rather blustery golden day, little suns, it was divine.

See you, littles.

  1. I love your posts. They always make me smile. I need to get my bicycle down in the garage and find a trailer for my two littlest so we can take a ride.
